With just a few more days until Beyonce takes the stage during halftime of Super Bowl XLVII, we wanted to take a look back at the best halftime performances from years past. Sure we loved watching the games, seeing buff, sweaty guys take on other buff, sweaty guys but the halftime show has long been something that we ladies look forward to. From Janet’s nip-slip to Diana’s dancing men, here are our picks for the best Super Bowl performances that Beyonce’s gotta beat.

In an ingenious marketing stunt, FOX tried to pull viewers away from CBS — the Super Bowl XXVI broadcaster — by hosting a live halftime sketch show of In Living Color. Viewers watched “Men on Football” with Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier and “Fire Marshall Bill” with Jim Carrey.
