In an exclusive interview with CocoaFab, Erica dishes on her side hustle, her relationship with Scrappy and her true thoughts on Mimi Faust‘s sex tape.
“I am focused on my dress line. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. That’s my baby. It has been a long time coming and I’m so excited for it to come out,” she says.
“All of the dresses are available online. A lady always needs a dress. Mine are made of lycra and they capture every woman’s shape and size.”
Erica admits she’s not a fan of any of her co-stars’ style choices.
“I don’t really pay attention to what the other girls are wearing. There’s no wow factor,” she says.
“My personal style is about how I feel that day. If I want to thrown heels and jeans and a cute shirt, I will. Some days I’ll we are tennis shoes and a hat and be laid back. I always have to have my accessories so I’ll wear a watch or some bracelets no matter what.”
She also took time to speak on her friend Mimi’s sex tape with Nikko Smith.
“I expressed how I feel about it a lot. Everyone is different and people have different morals and values. I didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now. I don’t think it was very ladylike,” she says.
“She’s her own person and that’s something she has to deal with for the rest of her life. If she’s built for it then fine.”
Erica admits she was completely surprised by her friend’s decision to release the tape.
“I was beyond surprised. I was just like, ‘Girl, what?1 Am I hearing you correctly?’
Don’t get me wrong, Mimi is my girl and she’s cool,” she says.
“In a sense, I looked up to her so to hear her saying she was doing the sex tape was shocking. I didn’t know if she was the same person that I knew. She can’t take it back. What’s done is done. It’s something that will follow her daughter forever. It affects everybody.”
The single mother says she’s trying to get to a good place with her baby’s father, Lil Scrappy, and she wasn’t happy about his ex’s recent revelations about their relationship.
“Scrappy and Diamond were years ago. If that stuff happened to her, why did she wait until now to say something? I don’t like that she says she helped raise my daughter. She didn’t. She may have babysat when Scrappy and I went out while they were dating, so maybe that’s what she’s talking about,” she says.
“I can’t entertain ignorance. She’s thirsty and she wants her shine at any cost. My thing is, keep my daughter out of it. I don’t think everything is OK with her mentally.”
When it comes to her own relationship with the rapper, she insists their romance is over for good.
“Scrappy and I are just done. We’re trying to be friends,” she says.
“I’m at a point in my life where I don’t hate him. I have forgiven him and I want to get to a place where we are cool and we’re able to be friends. So far, so good. We have to deal with each other for the rest of our lives. It comes to a point where enough is enough.”
The reality star also explains that she’s not stressed over the controversy created by her hit show.
“I feel like we have a responsibility on-screen to stay true to who you are. So many people are so quick to judge but it’s television. people tend to forget that,” she says.
“If cameras were brought into their lives, things could be even worse. Not everyone is willing to show the realness and rawness of what goes on. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I don’t regret anything.”
