EXCLUSIVE: Laura & Gloria Govan Talk Bad ‘BBW’ Comments & New Reality Show

The women of Basketball Wives didn’t take too kindly to being called “hoes” by former cast mate, Laura Govan.

CocoaFab caught up with the outspoken reality star and her sister, Gloria Govan to find out exactly how they feel about the backlash and to get the scoop on their upcoming reality show.

“I just feel like, there’s a show for everybody. I kinda felt like she should’ve kept it in the basketball creed.  Not so much entertaining all the outside stuff that you know we already have to deal with,” she explains. “It was more so like if you want a show to be ratchet, then do that you know what I’m saying?  Let that be the show.”

As one of the only actual wives on the cast, Laura isn’t hating on the girlfriends and babymamas.

“But at the same time I just feel like there’s a show for everybody and I just feel like that wasn’t the show that Basketball Wives should’ve been,” she says.  “But, ‘Basketball Wives’ is a platform, you know.  I think it did well.”

She’s also not hating on her cast mates and show producers, despite her harsh comments.

“I have no harsh feelings.  I love some of the girls on the show.

I love the producers, I loved it all.  So, you know I just felt like, there’s a show for everybody.”

While Laura stands by her message, she does regret her choice of words.

“I shouldn’t have used the word “hoes,” says Laura. “I did apologize.  I apologize.”

Gloria, on the other hand, doesn’t feel bad about her sister’s remarks.

“I would’ve used it. That’s fine,” she said.

The girls could’t give away too many secrets about their upcoming reality series, but they did tell us to expect to see them back on the small screen by the top of next year.

POLL: Will you watch the Govan sisters’ new show?
