Finally! Jay Z, Barneys Link Up For 2013 ‘A New York Holiday’ Campaign

One year in the making — so posts Jay Z‘s longtime publicist and go-to woman Jana Fleishman on Facebook — and it’s finally happening: Jay Z and Barney’s are teaming up for the holidays.

The New York luxury store is partnering with Jay Z for their annual holiday campaign. This year their promotion will be “A New York Holiday,” which is a Christmastime promotion that will include limited-edition products by designers such as Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Rick Owens and Proenza Schouler. The best part about all of this? A whopping 25 percent of sales from the collection will go to Jay’s Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation!It’s Jay’s first real move into the world of high fashion, and the collection includes high-priced items and more modest ones – a leather backpack, a cashmere blanket and a cotton t-shirt are included – and prices will range from $70 to $33,900 for an alligator-strap watch.Barney’s will debut the collection online and in store windows on Nov. 20.
