Halle Berry, 46, got hitched to French actor Olivier Martinez, 47, Saturday at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France, reports the French website Pure People.
The ceremony took place in a small chateau, where, in accordance with French law, a civil union was held (at 4 p.m.), followed by a religious ceremony at 5:30 at the chapel in the village.
For the 60 close friends and family in attendance, dinner was held under an arbor, and there was a fireworks display.
The pair met in 2010 while co-starring in Dark Tide. Although the movie was a flop, their chemistry has been red-hot ever since their romance spilled off-screen.
In April, the couple revealed they’re expecting their first child together – a boy – early this fall, an unexpected joy Berry has called “the biggest surprise of my life.” The baby will join big sister Nahla, Berry’s daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey.
“Who knew? I swore marriage off, right?” she laughed to Extra. “Never say never, people!”
This marks Berry’s third trip down the aisle. She was previously married to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s.
“This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth,” she told CNN in April. “Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”
