Hillary Clinton Says She Is Praying For Trayvon Martin’s Family

hillary clinton speech

While so many politicians have remained silent on the Travyon Martin killing and the subsequent Zimmerman trial verdict, Hillary Clinton has stepped out from the crowd as both a mother and a possible 2016 presidential candidate.

The former Secretary of State stood in front of thousands of members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. in Washington DC to express her heartfelt prayers and wishes for both the Martin Family and this country.

“My prayers are with the Martin family and with every family who loves someone who is lost to violence,” she stated. “No mother, no father, should ever have to fear for their child walking down a street in the United States of America.”

She also expressed gratitude to the Department of Justice for continuing their investigation into the case, regarding the decision whether or not to pursue civil rights charges against George Zimmerman.
After speaking about the Zimmerman verdict, Clinton went on to speak about the Supreme Court’s amending of the Voting Rights Act, saying “I want to make sure that in the next election and the next election and the next and every one after that, people line up to vote and they vote regardless of those who may not want to count their vote or acknowledge their right to vote.”

Looks like Clinton in 2016 is looking more and more like a reality.
