Janet Jackson’s Drops “No Sleep” & Dedicates Song To Husband + Will She Perform At BET Awards?

Janet Jackson woke up the world with her new single, “No Sleep”. “I dedicate this to My Love” she said referencing her husband, Wissam Al Mana when she posted the new track on Twitter on Monday.

If you loved her 1993 Grammy Award winning song, “That’s The Way Love Goes” then you’ll enjoy “No Sleep” which was produced by the legendary duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

According to Page Six, Jackson will be making her long awaited return to music on stage at the upcoming BET Awards. She last performed a tribute to her brother, Michael Jackson at the BET Awards in 2009. Ciara is said to be one of the performers that will pay homage.

Some may have questioned if Jackson, 49, could stake a successful return to music when fellow legend, Mariah Carey, 45, has had trouble connecting with a younger generation. Though her Vegas residency is said to be doing okay, Carey’s latest album, #1 to Infinity sold a mere 15,000 copies.

Jackson, however, seems to have the formula for success. In a matter of hours, “No Sleep” is #1 on Billboards “Twitter Trending 140 Chart”. She out ranks Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” and Selena Gomez’s “Good For You” featuring A$AP Rocky.

In other great come back news for Jackson, her Unbreakable tour has already sold out in Hawaii. She’s since added another show due to popular demand.
