Kerry Washington To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

Things are about to get scandalous on Saturday Night Live this November.

Scandal’s Kerry Washington is set to host comedy’s biggest TV show

TV’s “It” girl will take over the long-running sketch comedy series on Nov. 2, NBC has announced. Joining her will be Eminem, with his sixth turn as a SNL musical guest.

The last brown girl to host was Maya Rudolph in 2012!

Not too long ago, SNL comedian Keenan Thompson was asked why there were no black female comedians on SNL these days. “It’s just a tough part of the business,” Thompson replied. “Like in auditions, they just never find ones that are ready.”

Then the interviewer from TV Guide asked Thompson what the show would do if they needed to spoof an African-American woman. “I don’t know,” the comedian replied. “We just haven’t done them. That’s what I’m saying. Maybe [Jay Pharoah] will do it or something, but even he doesn’t really want to do it.”

It’s good to see that Kerry is breaking doors down.
