Love & Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris took the stand in a Hackensack, NJ court yesterday, in a statutory rape/sexual abuse case involving a 15-year-old girl four years ago, and he denied everything.
According to reports, a woman who is now 19-year-old claims that she had a sexual relationship with Mendeecees Harris, when she was 15, and that he blackmailed her into doing so.
However, Mendeecees says he barely knew the girl.
“I never had a relationship with her, she never extended herself,” said Harris, taking the stand in his own defense. “She didn’t play basketball, she didn’t play Playstation, didn’t want to go to the movies.”
“She always walked around the house like she had an attitude,” he said.
“That’s the truth – never, never – I never committed none of them acts to that girl in my life.”
He insisted that he was living in Lodi with the victim, her mother and their three boys in order to protect his $50,000 down payment on the house after discovering his name wasn’t on the deed.
“I told her we need to either sell the house or you need to give me my down payment out,” Harris said. “My stuff was in boxes in the hallway for months.”
At that point, he insisted, he and the woman were just friends – including when she leased an apartment on Prospect Street in Hackensack and gave him a key in order to help him out.
Further in his explanation Harris said that the woman helped him out because he had credit problems. He also said that he wasn’t even around the girl in question much at all. He admitted that they exchanged text messages but says they mostly about when either he or the girl’s mother we be coming home.
