With the NBA playoffs right around the corner, fashion magazines and newspapers alike are calling their picks, and not just for the season’s winners. This week, NBA baller and hottie Carmelo Anthony will grace the cover of the Wall Street Journal Magazine, out this Saturday, and let the record show that La La is one lucky woman.
In the feature, Melo is shot by celeb photographer Terry Richardson (the guy who snapped Beyonce and Rihanna just recently) and he talks all about his amazing year with the Knicks, his refined sense of fashion and gunning for a championship ring.
Read below about Melo’s swag and style:
Men’s Style Director David Farber was happily surprised by Anthony’s relaxed outlook toward dressing. “What I thought was really interesting about Carmelo is that he was very willing—even fearless—when it came to trying on different outfits for the shoot,” says Farber. “I wasn’t sure how he would react when I told him I wanted to keep a bit of his personal style in the story, but he was all for mixing things up until we found the right balance. In one shot he is wearing a smoking jacket from Ferragamo paired with sweatpants from Armani. He had a ‘let’s play’ attitude, which makes my job a pleasure.”
