With a wedding fit for the Queen of reality TV Nene Leakes walked down the aisle for the second time to marry her former husband Gregg Leakes. The lavish star-studded affair had a “Old Hollywood” theme and was held at Atlanta’s InterContinential Hotel and in true Real Housewives of Atlanta fashion there was no shortage of drama leading up to the big day!
That should come as no surprise since Basketball Wives’ Laura Govan was one of her bridesmaids and said earlier this week that she was working hard to keep details of the event under wraps.“I have a lot going on actually. I am a bridesmaid of NeNe Leakes and it’s very exciting. We’ve been doing a lot not to let nothing out of the bag… And we have other things going on. Things I can’t talk about.”
Of course, bridesmaid and RHOA costar, Cynthia Bailey was on deck as well as former cast mate and ish-stirrer, Marlo Hampton.
Word on the street was details were on lock because all invited guests are under a serious gag order!
According to reports, guests had to agree to avoid drugs and alcohol and promise they have no intention of running for office. The form allegedly asked guests to guarantee they are “not currently and during one (1) year from today do not intend to be a candidate for public office.” Talk about a weird request. Uh… Ok…
Kenya Moore, who was reportedly just evicted from the Atlanta mansion she was renting, confirmed she would be in attendance at the exclusive affair, telling Wendy Williams, “Of course I am! NeNe loves me!
Phaedra Parks also revealed she had received an invitation and will be attending NeNe’s re-nuptials.
Likely no shows? Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The new parents will likely have their hands full with their new arrival, North West, but Nene happily attended Kim’s baby shower last month.
People.com reports: After season 4 of RHOA documented NeNe’s attempts at dating, the pair reunited by season 5 when Gregg spent the season attempting to rekindle the romance. The couple’s road to remarriage will be documented for a spin-off, I Dream of NeNe, and will air in the fall.
