Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey are known for their over-the-top expressions of love and lavish parties, especially their annual vow renewal wedding anniversaries.

So when april 30th, their anniversary, came and went without a Disneyland bash like the one in 2013 or the Paris fete in 2012, many wondered whether the divorce rumors were true.

However, the duo opted to keep things low key this year.

“We definitely had a good time. The first part of the day, we threw a birthday for them and their friends at their school, and then after that, once we tired all the kids out, we had a nice romantic rooftop evening and kind of re-enacted some of our wedding and engagement rituals that we do every year,” Cannon told Parade Magazine.

“So it was low key. I mean the year before, we kind of went over the top with Disneyland, so we kind of wanted to reel it in this year so everybody doesn’t think that we try to do that every single year.” Cannon also addressed all the rumors surrounding his marriage that claim he and Mariah are currently facing trouble in paradise and heading toward divorce.

“You kind of have to ignore it because every week it’s something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you…There’s no merit or truth to it. It’s kind of humorous, really. It couldn’t be further off from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers.”

Nick gave a shout-out to his lady on Instagram on their anniversary, posting a hot picture of Carey and writing, “Wow I am the luckiest and most blessed man on the planet! Today is my 6th anniversary of being married to my dream girl! And Everyday just keeps getting better! Happy Anniversary to my amazing wife @mariahcarey I Love You!!! #KKLB#WonderLand”

Whew! Looks like things are great with this power couple!
