Six months after Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels called it quits, her former hype man is making headlines for his new diss track, “Love The Mostâ€.
Samuels rarely spoke out about their twelve year relationship but in an candid interview with The Breakfast Club earlier this year, he was applauded for not saying anything disparaging about Minaj.
We’re not sure what sparked his change of heart but the revelations in the track are juicy! According to TMZ, the full version of the song will be released at a later time but Samuels’ manages to spill four juicy allegations in the song’s clip.
1. Did Nicki have a problem with prescription pills?
She already revealed thoughts of suicide in the song “Bed of Lies†but was the head Barbie also abusing drugs at one point in her career? Samuels raps, “I know I’m not perfect, you was paying all the bills, you remember what you told me when you wasn’t on them pills?â€Â Â
2. She was crushing on Meek Mill while still with Samuels
“Life revolved around the beat, show me a man that won’t cheat? Said I was overreacting but you did like…†Insert “Meek†here! The Young Money star wasted no time rebounding with rapper Meek Mill. Samuels previously revealed that he introduced the future couple.
3. Safaree was insecure about Nicki and Nas’ kiss
“Had to watch you kiss Nas and pretend it’s all cool / Inside I was feeling like a motha f**king fool.” He says in reference to Minaj’s music video “Right By My Side†where the legendary rapper was cast as Minaj’s love interest.
4. He was expecting marriage and kids from Minaj
“Twelve years up in flames thought you would have had my kids; year three got in engaged…would have never thought our book would have ended on this page†In The Breakfast Club interview, Safaree says that their relationship took a back seat to the demands of Nicki’s hyper-sexual image. And they couldn’t secretly get married because it would have been public record.
POLL: Do you think Safaree waited too long after their breakup to release the track?
