Empire stars Bryshere Gray (Hakeem) and Jussie Smollett (Jamal) made a tour stop in Atlanta to promote their hit show and chart topping CD.
Radio station V-103 hosted a private listening session with the duo and played songs from the Empire album, like “Drip, drop, drip drippity, drop† produced by Timbaland.
Both Jussie and Bryshere are real life music artists first and then acting followed and seemingly opened up major opportunities to pursue their musical dream. Jussie for one has been offered a record deal with Colimbia and Bryshere aka Yazz The Greatest is a rapper and plans to eventually focus on his music in the near future.
Later the duo were also seen in Miami at the 10th Annual Jazz In The Gardens featuring performances by Run DMC, Erykah Badu and Bryshere  and Jussie.
Jussie said one of the highlights for him was taking a pic with Trayvon Martin’s mom Sabrina. He wrote:
“Last night at #JazzInTheGarden I had the joy of seeing some of the greatest artists but the true honor was meeting @sybrinafulton the beautiful and courageous activist/mother to Jahvaris Fulton and#TrayvonMartin she said “I’m so proud of you. You’re using your voice. Keep doing that. Don’t stop.” I won’t stop Miss Sybrina. Long as you are riding, I’m riding with you. Happy monday beautiful.”
