Randy Jackson is OUT As An American Idol Judge

Wave bye-bye to the last of the original “American Idol” judges.

Randy Jackson released a statement saying that he wouldn’t be returning after this season.

He says he wanted to “put all of the speculation to rest” about whether his name was still in the hat of future “American Idol” judges; lately there’s been a lot of chatter about who would be returning and which musicians were being tossed around about joining the show.

“I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry,” he writes in a statement. “It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”

No word from Fox TV just yet on that announcement, nor have they said a word about Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj or Keith Urban.
