When Tamar Braxton told CocoaFab that she didn’t fall in love with her baby instantly, it sent fans and foes into a frenzy. Now, She says she isn’t worried about her critics taking her comments out of context.
“It was completely taken out of context, but isn’t everything I say?” she said in a recent interview.
“You know, some people get it and some people don’t,” she said. “What I’ve learned along the way is that you can’t go to each person and explain yourself. And I refuse to do that.”
Tamar isn’t too worried about convincing the masses that she loves her little boy, Logan Vincent. “You can think whatever you want to think. I love my son; I feel blessed to have him in my life and that’s it.”
“Of course you love your child, but no one talks about the initial shock, and that’s what happened to me. I was shocked. I was shocked for at least three days,” she admitted. “Like, ‘Oh, my God! I’m a mother, this is my baby. I can’t believe this is the person that’s been swimming inside of me for 9 months. It’s not love, it’s shock–but you love them.”
The Real host and Braxton Family Values star says she is most excited about sharing her son with her husband, Vincent Herbert. “Vince and I have been together for 10 years and this is something that’s come out of our 10-year relationship. It’s amazing.”
We will get to see Tamar in all her mommy glory when her spin-off, Tamar & Vince, returns for a second season.The breakout Braxton also announced plans to tour with John Legend, adding another item to her ever-expanding to-do list. “It’s five things that I absolutely love to do, so it doesn’t seem like I’m overwhelmed,” she said. “I’m having a ball.”
