Tami Roman Describes ‘Fear, Excitement, Anxiety and Stress’ Of Being Pregnant at 45

Tami Roman shocked fans this week by announcing that she and her boyfriend, Reggie Youngblood, are expecting a child.

The 45-year-old reality star who is currently appearing with her beau on Marriage Bootcamp opened up about her big announcement during a recent interview with NecoleBitchie.

“I am in a committed relationship with a younger man who has never had children. In an effort to compromise for the benefit of our relationship, and because I am in love with this person, I decided to have a child with him and I am happy I made the decision to do so. Marriage Bootcamp helped us a great deal in all aspects, especially communication. It showed us that we do love each other and are in it for the long haul,” she said.

Tami, who is already a mother of two daughters and will join the cast of Basketball Wives LA next month also explained why she decided to share the news with the world when she was only six weeks into her pregnancy.

“I don’t know…wanting to share my excitement with the people who have shown me love. I hope I didn’t jinx myself. I hope and pray that will not be the case,” she said.

“I’m not going to act like I’m not afraid. Deciding to have a child at the age of 45 is very risky and when I first found out that I was definitely pregnant I went through a lot of emotions; fear, excitement, anxiety and stress. I find resolve in knowing that the person I am having this child with absolutely adores me and wants to build a family with me so I’m excited about the possibility of that.”

I have been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks since I was in the 8th grade, during those years I have also developed social anxiety and even talking to people triggers panic attacks! Some days are better than other and some days are worse. Recently I have found something that helps me to cope with the anxiety and control my panic attacks to a certain extent. Although it does not cure my attacks It has really helped me improve.
