“I luh God! You don’t luh God? What’s wrong wit chu?”
Erica Campbell’s new “trap gospel” song, “I Luh God”, has a lot of Christians deep in their feelings about her new release. Despite the criticism, Campbell wasn’t too fazed about the claim of the song sounding too secular and pushed forward releasing the video in hopes to reach “a generation of people that love God” but doesn’t have gospel music in a language that resonates with them.
When it comes to capturing the attention of millennials, not only do you have to sound the part but more importantly you have to look the part. So, Campbell geared up wearing a fat gold necklace with an Air Jordan medallion, a baseball cap sideways, and oversized glitter glasses. Can someone say female version of 2 Chainz?Â
