The reality star even took to Twitter to laugh off the reports of the $2.5 million lawsuit Cook filed against her.
Now, the wedding planner is adding a defamation claim to her lawsuit against the Real Housewives of Atlanta and she’s speaking out about NeNe’s damaging antics.
“We filed an amended complaint to add claims for libel, defamation of character, invasion of privacy, false light, and punitive damages, specifically against NeNe Leakes, for [statements] that were directed at my client after the lawsuit was filed,” Cook’s lawyer told STFA.
According to Cook, Nene damaged her career by bashing her business over Twitter and in the media.
“She has 1.3 million [Twitter] followers. To say such negative things about me, it can only be devastating,” she told RollingOut. “When you Google my name right now, there are 300 pages saying I am a scam artist, among other things. Again, we [Tiffany Cook Events] deal with a high-profile clientele. Generally, I am all over the Internet for the fantastic things that I do. It is absolutely devastating.”
The whole debacle was captured by cameras for Nene’s wedding special, I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding. Based on the promos, it looks like Nene had problems with her planner from the start.
