“See, here’s the thing. I’m not going anywhere. The thing that people don’t get is everything at this house is free,” the 14-year-old explained on Wednesday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the wake of a false report by The Sun. “I can get anything and everything at his house, so I’m going to be there for 20, 30 years. He says as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies, I can get my own house.”
So how did the report even start in the first place?
“I think I made a joke in Tokyo,” Will said, before joking: “I mean, my baby boy, he’s never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids.”
The father and son duo will appear on the big screen together in sci-fi thriller, After Earth, which hits theaters on May 31.
